New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has shown interest in facing Pakistan in a white-ball series the following year.
The series, which will be played in New Zealand, may consist of three ODIs or five T20Is, according to reports.

Since New Zealand has a clear window before its home series against South Africa in February, the series between Pakistan and New Zealand may start there in the second week of January.

Following the completion of Pakistan’s tour to Australia in January 2024, New Zealand has volunteered to host the series. The three-match Test series will end on January 7, it should be mentioned.

The final decision on the visit is anticipated to be made within the next few days after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has discussed the idea with its stakeholders.

Members of the PCB selection committee
The new selection panel for the national men’s side was previously made public by Najam Sethi, the head of the PCB Management Committee.

Sethi said that the committee would comprise Chief Selector Haroon Rasheed, Team Director Mickey Arthur, Head Coach Grant Bradburn, and Data Analyst Hassan Cheema in an interview with BBC Urdu.

Hassan is a specialist in this area, and we want to utilise statistics to inform our choice, said Sethi.

Cheema now oversees tactics for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Between 1977 and 1983, Haroon played in 23 Tests and 12 ODIs. He also served as the top selector in 2015–16.

Arthur is a member of the coaching staff for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the home series against the West Indies, and the away trip to Australia. In addition, he will be there with the team when Pakistan plays India in the ACC Asia Cup.

From 2016 to 2019, Arthur led Pakistan to the No. 1 spot in Tests and Twenty20 Internationals. He also assisted the team in winning the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

Additionally, the PCB announced last week that Grant Bradburn had been hired for a two-year term as the head coach of the men’s national team.

During Pakistan’s just finished home series against New Zealand, Bradburn also acted as the team’s head coach on a consulting basis.
